Structural Design Engineer
The Role:
Design Engineer to work in a design team under the guidance of an experienced Senior Project Engineer.
Duties:
- Undertake engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural and civil engineering projects
- Be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis and design software
- Lead design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections
- Mentor and guide graduate /junior engineers
- Provide technical support to include report writing and presentations
- Analysis and Design of structures
- Prepare structural and civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Liaison with REVIT & CAD technicians to produce drawings that reflect design outputs
- Coordinate sub-consultants and specialist designers

The successful candidate will have / be:
- Minimum BEng Hons degree in civil/structural engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years’ post qualification experience
- Working towards chartered status
- A client-focused approach with effective time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Effective communicator and problem solver
- Ability to liaise with members of design / construction teams
