Project Description

Project: Battersea Rise

Client: Proma Group

Architect: Stephen Evans Architects

The project is a new build commercial and residential development at Battersea Rise, consisting of 500m2 of commercial space at basement and ground level and 7 apartments at these upper floor levels.

The project is located on a constricted urban site and used a cantilevered sheet pile method for the basement construction. In-situ RC pad footings and RC lining walls were used to construct the basement envelope. The superstructure consisted of precast floors supported on load bearing masonry and steel transfer beams, with 10m steel beams provided at first floor level to provide clear space in the ground floor commercial unit. Barrett Mahony worked closely with Proma Construction during the project design stage, to deliver a value engineered structural scheme for the project.
