Project: SR House, Childers Street, Deptford, London

Client: Aitch Group

Architect: Avebury Projects Ltd.

Project involved the retention of a 90m long facade of a former factory warehouse, demolition of the remaining building and erection of part 5, part 6 storey new build comprising 1,240m2 of flexible commercial floorspace and 83 residential units. The superstructure was formed with an insitu RC flat slab and precast columns/walls supported by ground beams and piles. The scheme incorporated large internal lightwells at each level which needed internal cold bridge isolation joints within the flat slab structure. The design team utilised BIM at all stages using Autodesk Revit.
