Project Description

Project: Felda House, Wembley

Location: Wembley, London

Client: Tide Construction Ltd.

Architect: HTA

Felda House is an 18 storey student accommodation development on Albion Way Wembley. This development consists of 18 floors of student accommodation over a single storey basement formed with reinforced concrete.

The redevelopments of Karma House provides a 450 room student accommodation building in Wembley provided by 529 modules. The building is stepped in height up to 20 floors with a small central area of basement. The accommodation areas are provided by an offsite modular solution which in turn is supported by traditional reinforced concrete. Some of the modular units extend from ground floor while two of the buildings projecting wings commence with modular two floors up. Modules are delivered to site with completed internally.

The building is stabilised by a reinforced concrete core constructed using slip form construction methods. Modules are erected as the slip form work proceeds above. As with all Vision Modular buildings the external finishes are applied on site so upon completion there is no evidence of how the building was constructed. The project is scheduled for completion within a 12 month site period.
