The project consisted of the construction of a new post primary school, a new primary school, a new independent GP hall and an extension to an existing primary school.
The project involved converting an existing primary school into a school campus development with a new road internal roads network, car parking, drainage and watermain designs including boundary treatments and future proofing of services.
The post primary school consisted of the construction of a new 650 classroom post primary school with general purpose area, technical rooms, technical stores and associated secondary offices and facilities. The structure consisted of slim floor construction with precast slabs to maintain a clear soffit space to allow for the flexibility required for M&E services to serve a large school. The structure contained a full building movement joint to allow for the size of the overall building structure.
The new 16 classroom primary school formed part of a separating of the existing school into a junior and senior school with a separate GP hall, library and ancillary accommodation.
The extension to the existing school formed a special needs unit onto the existing junior school building. An independent GP hall was constructed for the two schools.
