We are delighted to announce that An Bord Pleanála has granted approval for 852 new affordable and social homes in Dundrum, Dublin. Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers are the consulting civil and structural engineers for this exciting project.

On the site of the old Central Mental Hospital, this development will be delivered by The Land Development Agency and will comprise of social housing, affordable rental and affordable purchase.

These homes will be made up of a mixture of houses, apartments and duplexes while the development will also provide extensive facilities for residents and the wider community, including a community centre with indoor sports facilities, a medical centre, retail units, a café and a childcare facility.

Work on the plan for the CMH site has been ongoing since 2020 and the granting of permission is the culmination of an extensive planning, design and consultation process.
